Roots

The journey begins
in South Tyrol.

Roland Trettl moved away from home as a young man to conquer the world of gastronomy. He trained and worked, and as Executive Chef of Hangar-7 achieved more than he ever dreamt was possible. He hosted the best chefs from around the world. Whenever it is time to take on a new challenge, Trettl returns here to his home in Oberbozen.

The village is situated at 1,400 metres above sea level. On sunny days it seems like the rooftops soar into the sky. The magic works every single time: in South Tyrol Roland Trettl charges his batteries, clears his mind and develops ideas for his newest project: the Lohberger T1.
